To avoid any potential delays with returning samples by post we strongly recommend returning travel PCR test samples directly to the lab in London which has a sample dropbox available 24/7. You can find drop off details for the labs here.
Alternatively, travel PCR test kits come with a Royal Mail Tracked 24 return envelope which you can use to return your sample. If you are posting samples back to the lab you need to use one of the Royal Mail "Priority Postboxes" which have been set up for coronavirus samples. You can find your nearest priority post boxes here.
Please be aware that last collection times from postboxes vary and there are no collections (or lab deliveries) on Sundays or public holidays. We have no direct control over samples once they're in the Royal Mail network and cannot accept responsibility for delays in sample return.
The Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery service is NOT guaranteed and samples can sometimes take longer than 24 hours to reach the lab. We advise you to drop off samples for a PCR COVID test for travel in-person to the labs in London or Manchester whenever possible.
